Beverley AC juniors were out in force on Sunday in the pleasant surroundings of Baysgarth Park, Barton.

It was a nice change for the runners to experience warm sunshine and dry underfoot conditions after recent races in cold winds and through deep mud.

The competition at Barton was particularly fierce with many runners travelling to the event from West Yorkshire.

Peter McGill and Andrew Harding put in their usual excellent performance finishing second in the U15 boys’ and U17 men’s race respectively.

Nicole Dawson continued to impress in her first year in the U15 girl category, finishing 4th on the day.

The best Beverley AC team performance was from the U11 boys, who came second, led home by a rising star, Oliver Cockerill, who was 1st overall in the race.  The other team members were Luke Chapman and Taylor Arnott.
